  1. What is the purpose for this event?
    The event celebrates the Multiple Award Schedules Program and government contracting and honors FAS, its customers, and its contractors. Attendees include contractors and government personnel. It also provides a great networking event with a cocktail reception followed by a dinner.

  2. Why should we participate in this event?
    The program provides great opportunities to show your support of the Multiple Award Schedules Program and government contracting. This year is the 11th year of the event. Attendees include highly regarded GSA executives, industry partners, and many others. It is a highly visible way to show your support for FAS.

  3. How can we participate in the event?

    Historically we’ve had 400+ attendees from industry and government.

    The event is black tie optional.

  8. Where can I stay for the EIP Awards?
    The Coalition has reserved a limited number of rooms at a reduced rate of $209 per night at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner. To secure your room at this discounted rate, please call 800-HILTON by Tuesday, October 12, 2010. A one-night nonrefundable deposit will be charged to your credit card upon booking your reservation.

    Please note that the Coalition’s annual Fall Conference will also be held at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner on November 2-3.

    The Hilton McLean Tysons Corner offers complimentary parking.

  10. What time does the event begin?
    The cocktail reception begins at 6:00 PM and the dinner starts at 7:00 PM. The evening ends around 9:30 PM.

  11. Can I submit a nomination for an award?
    Yes, all are welcome to nominate someone for an award, whether you participate or not. Submit your nomination here

  12. Why should I submit a nomination?
    To recognize procurement innovation and excellence in GSA’s FAS programs, in their vendors, and in their customer agencies. Nominate that company that has gone the extra mile in supplying and supporting a government agency. Nominate that GSA representative that calls on your office and provides support. Nominate your own agency to recognize the innovative way to use GSA in order to meet your agency’s mission. Nominate yourself for using GSA to find a way to make your organization work better. This is your chance to recognize a person or organization that has made a difference in FAS at what has become the most prestigious industry event of the year.

  13. What are the different award categories?
    There are 3 major categories: GSA, GSA Customer Agencies and Industry. All three parts are represented: the vendors, the federal customers and the professionals who run FAS and its programs

  14. How are the award winners selected?
    An expert panel from industry and government select the winners from the nominations received.

  15. What does the award winner receive?
    A beautiful, personalized glass award along with recognition throughout the evening. Award winners are displayed in the silent slide show during the cocktail reception, and they collect their award in front of the 400+ attendees. Press releases regarding the event and the winners will be sent out to major media organizations. Winners will also be listed on the EIP Awards website.

  16. What kind of food is served during the evening?
    Hors d'oeuvres are served during the cocktail reception and an elegant three course meal is served during the evening. If an attendee has a diet restriction, the kitchen will provide a vegetarian alternative meal when requested.
